Help Hagar Build a New Playground

If you’re looking for a good vehicle to get involved, why not set up your own fund-raising page to help Hagar build a new playground in Cambodia?  You can create a personalized page, educate and inform your friends and ask them to help you contribute and make a difference to the children in Hagar’s program.  You can read more about their program below and watch this video on their program.

Children come to Hagar Cambodia from a variety of backgrounds. Some have been abandoned, some born with disabilities, and others abused by people they love. The common denominator is that each child has been cast out, and each child needs time to heal.

Hagar’s Community Learning Center provides catch-up education for children who have not had the chance to attend school regularly.  Children  served include those residing in Hagar’s residential programs, as well as those living with their families in the surrounding impoverished neighborhood.  In order to help them catch-up to their age peers, the Community Learning Center teaches two grades each year.  Over 90% of the students are successful!  Once learning at the appropriate grade level, children are integrated into regular Cambodian schools, with ongoing support from Hagar.

The Community Learning Center was built in 2005 and provides a clean, safe learning environment.  Extra-curricular art, drama, and sports activities are provided after school and on Saturday.  However, the Community Learning Center needs a new playground.

Together, we can make a simple difference in the daily lives of over 200 children  from devastating backgrounds.  By helping us provide much-needed playground equipment, you will help provide joy and fun to the lives of very special children.
